He does not run FEM simulations, review technical drawings or manage a LinkedIn profile yet. But Ares plays an important role at Cortez Engineering: reminding us when we have spent too much time looking at the same component.
Sometimes, a short break helps you see an engineering solution more clearly. And nobody organizes breaks quite like him.
01 — His responsibilities
Four paws, four official tasks
His main job is not to review FEM simulations or validate CAD models, but he takes everything around the engineering desk very seriously.
01
Strategic break control
If we spend too many hours looking at the same geometry, he appears to remind us that a short walk can unlock a better idea. His timing is suspiciously accurate.
02
Office atmosphere supervision
He does not understand safety factors or structural loads, but he knows exactly when a technical meeting needs a little less tension.
03
Early warning system
He detects visitors, deliveries and suspicious movement near the office faster than any software. Latency: practically zero.
04
Team balance manager
Because even in a technical company focused on CAD, FEM, optimization and advanced manufacturing, working with calm, focus and good energy still matters.
02 — Specialties
What he masters and what he prefers to delegate
Every member of the team has a field of expertise. Ares has a very specific one — and it is surprisingly useful.

Setting up 3D scanners
Replying to LinkedIn messages
Knowing whether a 3D file is ready to print or comes with “surprises”
The full team
Ares supervises. Hilario designs.
While Ares takes care of the office atmosphere, Hilario develops high-performance components for automotive, motorsport and additive manufacturing. If you want to see the technical side of the team, this is the place.
