Mechanical and thermal simulations
At Cortez Engineering, we carry out advanced simulations to validate the mechanical and thermal behavior of your components before manufacturing. We use state-of-the-art tools for structural analysis (FEM) and thermal analysis to predict how parts will perform under real operating conditions.
Structural analysis allows us to detect stress concentrations, critical deformations, failure modes, and other key factors that may affect product performance and lifespan. Through thermal analysis, we evaluate heat transfer, thermal expansion, temperature gradients, and their effects on the structure.
This process allows us to:
Virtually validate designs before manufacturing – lowering risk and prototype costs
Optimize wall thicknesses, reinforcements, and geometries based on real load cycles or thermal stress conditions
Anticipate critical behaviors like fatigue, buckling, overheating, or unwanted expansion
These simulations are essential in industries where failure is not an option – such as aerospace, high-performance automotive, motorsport, or heavy industry.
